I was telling someone about Peopleware book. Folks usually just give a link to Amazon. They're pretty evil. I try to lean toward ethical businesses where possible (vote with wallet). So, did a quick search for ethical alternatives, found this company (which had Peopleware), and looked at its history. Instead of an ad, I figured I'd submit the history to Laarc since it's really interesting mix of all sorts of things on top of bringing awareness to an Amazon alternative. Wish I discovered them sooner.

Meta note: I've been also looking for businesses whose culture and/or legal structure is set up to benefit the public. I don't see an adequate tag to highlight that. Preferably one word with widespread understanding. Since B corporations happened, I'm just piggybacking on "publicbenefit" for now since it's mainstreaming slowly.
